Privacy policy

Last updated August 11, 2026

This policy explains what Rankable collects when you run a report or hold an account, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

1. What we collect

Account data: your name, email address and, if you subscribe, billing identifiers held by our payment processor. We never store full card numbers.

Audit inputs: the domains and marketplace storefront URLs you submit, and the email address you provide to receive a report preview.

Audit outputs: publicly accessible page content and markup we retrieve, plus the responses returned by AI assistants during a run.

Usage data: standard log information such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed, used to keep the service secure and reliable.

2. How we use it

To produce, store and deliver the reports you request, and to notify you when one is ready.

To operate accounts, process subscriptions and provide support.

To improve the accuracy of our audits in aggregate. We do not use one customer's private account data to advantage another.

To send service messages. Marketing email is opt-in and every message includes an unsubscribe link.

3. Public data only

Audits use information that is publicly accessible to any visitor or crawler. We do not install tracking on your website, we do not require analytics access, and we do not access content behind a login or paywall.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

We use a small set of processors to run the service: cloud hosting and database infrastructure, a payment processor for subscriptions, an email delivery provider, and the AI model providers whose assistants we query. Each is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions.

We may disclose information where legally required, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the service.

5. Retention

Reports and their underlying audit data are retained for as long as your account is active, so you can compare runs over time.

If you close your account, we delete or anonymise associated data within thirty days, except records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict certain processing.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@rankable.ai. We respond within thirty days.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure form submissions. We use a privacy-respecting analytics measure of page views. We do not run third-party advertising cookies.

8. Children

The service is intended for business use and is not directed to anyone under sixteen. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes and contact

If we make a material change to this policy, we will notify account holders by email before it takes effect.
